The Sarus Crane Film

A film by Daniel Roper-Jones and Fauna in Focus

A BirdLife International Collaboration

In 2018, Fauna in Focus partnered with BirdLife International to produce a 3 part short film on the vulnerable Sarus crane. The films are designed to work separately or as one. Part 1 focuses on the Lower Mekong Basin Ecosystem and the importance that it has for local communities and wildlife. Part 2 introduces the Sarus Crane and their ecology. Part 3 focuses on the threats that are facing the birds, as well as the conservation practices that BirdLife and the local rangers are putting into practice in southeast Cambodia.

This film was sponsored by Keidanren Nature Conservation Fund and BirdLife International – Tokyo. You are welcome to watch or share our film online here for free, or help me make more film shorts like this by becoming my Patreon here.
