A Cambodian Nature Film

1 | The Kingdom of Nature

Welcome to The Kingdom of Nature

Get ready to fall in love with Cambodia’s beautiful and unique biodiversity. This film takes us on a journey through Cambodia to discover its many varied ecosystem and its beautiful wildlife. Journey as we explore the rich biodiversity of Cambodia and stop to meet with local and international conservation experts working to preserve the wild landscapes and endangered species that call Cambodia home. This film was the first feature length nature film made for Cambodia.

I believe that high-quality visual media can help conservation change the way people interact with nature. This film was the first feature-length nature documentary made for Cambodian audiences. It aims to inspire pride in natural heritage and promote wildlife conservation to a broad range of audiences is a way that has never been done in Cambodia. Today the film has reached over 2 million views across the country, and is licensed for use in dozens of schools, NGOs and universities. It has nearly 3 million views online, has been shown on TV many times, and is still inspiring more and more nature film productions in Cambodia today.

Trailers & Featurettes

To help gain traction for my films, I also produce all my own trailers, promo videos and featurettes. Checkout the short films I produced for A Cambodian Nature Film below.

USAID Distribution Campaign

In 2017 Fauna in Focus won a $25k grant from USAID to fund the distribution of the film around Cambodia. We traveled our mobile cinema to over three dozen communities, dozens of schools and universities and held community screening events in Siem Reap, Phnom Penh and Battambong. In 2018, the film was aired in the opening night of the Cambodian International Film Festival in front of thousands of Cambodia’s political and social elites, helping inspire a newfound interest in nature and conservation among the most powerful and influential people in the country.
