Featured Project Fauna in Focus

In 2015, I launched Fauna in Focus, a US-based  501(c)3 non-profit wildlife conservation NGO that builds education, media and nature discovery programs. The work we have carried out as a small team are some of my proudest achievements, and include world-class natural science curriculum, award-winning nature film, and the country’s first Nature Discovery Center. This interactive learning facility was accessible to all, and offered a host of amazing exhibits, activity stations and installations where visitors of all age could reconnect with wildlife and conservation first hand.

Testimonials

I visited Dan's Nature Center in Cambodia and have seen his movies and educational graphic projects. His films are professionally done with a strong conservation message. The Nature center was totally innovative, interactive and included lots of digital displays for kids and adults to play and learn about wildlife and conservation in a fun way. Dan is leading the field of digital interactive graphics, he would be a great addition to any project trying to teach people about science, STEM, and how to learn to protect our precious planet.

“The passion, commitment to excellence, and broad range of knowledge that Daniel brings to a project is inspiring. I was fortunate to have worked alongside him while developing a Nature Discovery Center in Cambodia. He approaches everything with careful, strategic planning — from the 3D architectural modeling of the center, and the crafting and facilitating of each detail, to engaging station builds with a variety of interactive components, detailed interior design, and fantastic wildlife education curriculum. All of this he accomplished alongside community-focused events, overall NGO management and much more. Daniel brings incredible, contagious energy to his projects and the results are always superb quality. Recommended highly, and I look forward to seeing what inspiring projects he develops next!”

Through my unique position on the Fauna in Focus Board of Directors, I saw the incredible and broad range of talents Dan brought to bear in creating and scaling a multi-program organization. The results of Dan's efforts speak for themselves, but what's harder to see from the outside is the organizational excellence that allowed Dan to finance, build, and lead a team of top notch staff and volunteers. His handle on finances, project management, systems, program design and leadership above rival his more public creative talents.

“I met Dan in 2014. He has launched his NGO with a high quality nature documentary specifically made for the Cambodian audience, narrated in their own language. From the production to the editing and outreach, Dan created it all by himself, with very little funding. As if this was not enough, he also built a first-class educational nature center from scratch, and created education programs of outstanding quality. One can just imagine what he will accomplish when given a proper budget for his future plans. Dan is an outstanding nature educator, content creator and conservation leader, and altogether a great person to work with. He earns my highest recommendation.”

“I volunteered for Daniel and his NGO for three months. During that time I was involved in multiple projects including promotional marketing, educational exhibits for the Nature Discovery Centre, branded apparel, and social media content. Daniel was fantastic to work with. He was driven, had innovative thinking leading to new ideas, and had great leadership skills. And all these traits come from his genuine passion for conservation, wildlife education, and eco-tourism. He’d be a valuable addition to any team or project.”

He has an excellent contact with all kind of people and was very much appreciated by students, staff members, tourists, and coworkers alike. He teaches with passion and interactive tools, drawing the public's attention and comprehension. Easy going, outgoing and energetic, he is great to work with!”
